I'm not sure what the exact criteria are for having your picture
put on a United States postage stamp.
I do know you have to be pretty famous. And I realize you must
have made a significant contribution to American society (thus
excluding the possibility of us getting stuck with, say, a Spiro
Agnew stamp someday).
I think you have to be in a posthumous state too, which, if we
believe Elvis Presley's die-hard followers, would seem to eliminate
"The King" from contention.
Elvis is just one of the celebrities being considered for
stamphood. Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby and my favorite - The Three
Stooges - are a few of the others.
