Art Nouveau may be enjoying a longer run of popularity as a
revival than it did during its original 20-year span. This may be
due in part to the fact that Art Nouveau includes many design styles.
In fact, you could say there is something for every current
collector's taste.
Some of these styles were influenced by Gothic and rococo
designs; some were borrowed from classical antiquity and the art of
the Far East (especially Japan), as well as English influences from
the Italian Renaissance. Even touches of the rococo Louis XV style
show up as gilded carvings on furniture and decorative pieces. Yet,
