Bond was set at $250,000 Tuesday for a second street gang member
charged with first-degree murder in the Oct. 21 shooting of a
17-year-old soccer star at Roosevelt High School. Erwin Feyrer, 22,
of 5517 N. Spaulding, appeared before Violence Court Associate Judge
Michael Buckley Bolan. Assistant State's Attorney Ellen Mandeltort
said Feyrer was identified in a police lineup Monday by five
witnesses to the slaying of Fabian Diaz, of the Northwest Side, at
Albany and Argyle in River Park. James Maris, 19, of 6205 N. Central
Park, was charged with murder Oct. 23. Diaz was among 10 youths
sitting in the park when two men wearing long coats and scarves
around their faces leaped from behind ...
