For a man who says he has an empty life, comic Jerry Seinfeld is making the best of it. And the best is perhaps the most polished stand-up act available in comedy clubs today. Maybe all those hours spent flipping television channels, or kicking underwear into the air and trying to catch it, have given him time to buff his material.

No wonder the Catch a Rising Star brass brought the 34-year-old comic from Long Island, N.Y., to be the first headliner at the newest Catch club in the Oak Brook Hyatt Regency, 1909 Spring Rd.
