One of the frequent old saws heard from programming executives around the entertainment business is: "Hey, we're not performing brain surgery." Thank heaven for small blessings.

And in keeping with that adage, "The Pat Sajak Show," airing from 10:30 p.m. to midnight Monday through Friday, does not attempt brain surgery. But on Monday's premiere of the CBS talk show, viewers were treated to a tape of Sajak's network-required physical exam - chest X-ray and all.

This wasn't brain surgery. It was a cloning.
