More than $750,000 in renovation is planned for two Rogers Park
apartment buildings that were sold just before the end of 1988.
The 50-unit courtyard building at 1200 W. Sherwin, known as the
Breakers, and the 27-unit structure at 6301 N. Kenmore were purchased
by Capstone Partners for $2.23 million.
Capstone said renovation plans include extensive landscaping,
new concrete sidewalks, new storms and screens, updated kitchens and
baths, and restored hardwood floors.
The seller of both buildings, Earl Niemoth of Create Inc., has
put $300,000 into the buildings since he bought them four years ago.
