Compost, or recycled organic matter, has been a winning
ingredient with successful and serious gardeners for many years.
Composting has gained more attention recently as a solution to
environmental issues concerning landfill-space limitations and as a
part of the broad-scale recycling effort of many common materials.
Compost is often described as the caviar of organic matter. It
is the "cure-all" soil additive that has many benefits in the garden.
It's important to note, however, that if you don't make compost
yourself, it is hard to come by.
The composting process takes garden weeds, trimmings, leaves
