GREEN TURTLE CAY, Bahamas From the outside, Emily Cooper's small,
rustic building is not impressive, even for the out islands of the
Bahamas. The architectural style might be called "island quick."
Its plain, flat walls are powder blue. Mostly.
Cooper's Blue Bee Bar is a 1 1/2-story, free-standing wood
structure on a quiet side street of New Plymouth, an out-of-the-way
village on an out-of-the-way island.
Inside, the dark Blue Bee Bar has long tables and folding chairs
and a bare floor. Through the years, sailors and others have left
their marks. Walls and rafters are crowded with business cards, many
browned and crinkled with age; T-shirts with imprints from all over
the world and ...
