Robert `Pops' Taylor, 72, husband of blues singer Cora "Koko"
Taylor, died Wednesday in Mercy Hospital. In addition to serving as
his wife's personal manager throughout her career, Mr. Taylor was
credited as co-producer of her "Live from Chicago: an Audience with
the Queen" album, which earned a Grammy nomination. As a booker for
various blues clubs, a manager and a semiprofessional musician, Mr.
Taylor was a longtime fixture on the Chicago blues scene and was
associated with B.B. King and Muddy Waters before they attained
international prominence. The Taylors were sharecropping farmers
