The Cubs need someone to hit behind Andre Dawson, but that wasn't
why Dave Kingman visited Wrigley Field Thursday.
In town "on business," the former Cub slugger stopped at the park
in which he hit a career-high 48 homers in 1979.
"The skyboxes look great," said Kingman, 40, whose last big
league season was 1986. "I always loved this ballpark. The fans are
among the best."
Kingman's visit surprised the Cubs. He had called the Phillies
