As the Exxon Valdez oil tragedy in Alaska's Prince William Sound
weaves its tragic tale, every day the saga more eerily resembles
biblical parable.
As the dying loons' cries pierce the night sky and the playful
sea otters die long and terrible deaths, the tragedy warns us of an
apocalypse at hand.
Consider the cast of characters, which is straight out of
biblical casting. First enter the Pharisees, the cold and ultimately
irresponsible men from Exxon, sequestered in their faraway temples.
