Article: Ex-reporter enjoys success on her own

I I n the year since Mary Nissenson resigned as a reporter at WBBM-Channel 2, she happily has been calling her own shots as a self-styled communications consultant and media entrepreneur.

"I can't believe I waited this long," said Nissenson, 37. "It is wonderful to be an ethical businesswoman."

As founder of Foresight Communications, Nissenson grossed more than $1 million in her first six months - while operating out of the Lincoln Park home she shares with her husband, Channel 2 anchor Mike Parker. She now heads a staff of six, including another Channel 2 alum, producer Coleen Marren.
