The Dawnmobile '89: It's elegant, generally energetic and it
covers more ground than the blues. And during a weekend where blues
dominates the city's byways, here are some pit stops that have little
to do with that timeless music form.
A pair of gloriously iconoclastic rock bands are rolling into
the city: Plan 9 will appear at 11 tonight at Cabaret Metro, 3730 N.
Clark (549-0203), and the Replacements will play at 8 p.m. tomorrow
at the Aragon Ballroom, 1106 W. Lawrence (559-1212).
In a year that hasn't been too good to guitar music (witness the
cancellation of the I.R.S. Records' "Night of the Guitars" tour), the
