HOLLYWOOD "There's never been anything like it in the history of the
record business," boasted Maurice Starr, the mastermind behind the
red-hot teen singing group, New Kids on the Block. "Nothing like it
ever anywhere."
The 34-year-old Florida native knows his teen groups. Starr
discovered New Edition.
With New Kids, he has something to brag about again. New Kids
are the biggest white teen group since the Osmonds in the late '60s
and early '70s. Starr's singers just hit No. 1 on Billboard's
pop-singles chart with "I'll Be Loving You Forever."
In the Chicago area, New Kids will share a July 23 concert bill
with pop singer Tiffany at the Poplar Creek Music Theatre in Hoffman
Estates.
