Michael Jordan said Tuesday he does not want to play point guard
again next season but would do so if it helps the team.
"Only if I have to," Jordan said. "Only if they can't find
somebody better to play point guard. So I've told management to let
my playing point guard be the last option."
Jordan, the league's leading scorer the last two years, played
the last 24 games of the regular season and throughout the playoffs
at point guard.
In 12 of those regular-season games, Jordan registered triple
doubles in points, rebounds and assists. Though injuries decimated
the lineup during that span, the Bulls were 13-11 over all but had
