New Year's Eve is one of those holidays that gives people
anxiety attacks. Singles worry about getting a date, parents worry
about getting a baby-sitter and everybody worries about drunken
drivers.
Here's a good alternative for New Year's neurosis: Stay home.
But don't just stay home with a bottle of Champagne and watch the
telecasts of the famous ball falling in Times Square in New York.
Grab a bunch of videotapes and watch the variety of ways that
Hollywood has sung "Auld Lang Syne."
The following videotapes are available at video stores, but it
might be a good idea to reserve copies. I had trouble renting
"Holiday Inn," and some of the more recent releases might be equally
difficult ...
