Hersey Hawkins scored 20 points as the Philadelphia 76ers extended the longest winning streak of the NBA season to 12 games with a 114-89 victory Monday night over the visiting Utah Jazz.

Charles Barkley, hampered by a strained leg muscle, had 16 points and eight rebounds in 27 minutes. Barkley had two steals and four points to spark a 14-0 76ers' spurt at the end of the first period for a 35-21 lead.

Karl Malone had 29 points for Utah, which lost for only the third time in 14 games.
