Article: Traffic Court date leaves drivers feeling jilted

Craig Brown was ready Friday for his day in court on a traffic ticket he said he didn't deserve.

What he got instead, however, was a day of confusion and a frustrating two-hour wait to learn that he didn't even have a court date.

"I took a vacation day for this," said the 41-year-old resident of Munster, Ind., who was ticketed for going the wrong way on a one-way street. "Now I have to take another one."

Brown was one of several hundred people who waited in line five abreast at Traffic Court because they thought their tickets listed Friday as their court date.
