When Brett Hull was growing up in British Columbia, he rarely
saw much of his famous father, Bobby. Thanks to heredity and good
sense, however, Brett acquired two of Bobby's principal attributes.
Although he is a righthand shooter and his father fired the puck
lefthanded, Brett Hull has a potent slap shot.
Reminded that Bobby sometimes fired his 98 m.p.h. shot at
goalies' heads for purposes of intimidation, Brett said: "I don't
waste them like that. I shoot to score. But dad always knew where
the puck was going."
Bobby also knew who paid the bills and he always made himself
