Patricia Gillette, a normal, healthy 10-year-old from Hoffman
Estates, figured that she would die. Or at the very least, pass
out. Her addiction snuck up rather innocently about a year ago when
she just could not say no and shelled out a few dollars for a poster.
That led to four tapes, which led to buttons, which led to T-shirts
and a nifty, multicolored watch. Soon her parents found out.
"Of course they found out," Gillette said with a deep sigh. "I
left everything all over my room at home."
