Article: Hope dims for Pucinski's wife

Ald. Roman C. Pucinski (41st) said Sunday his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Pucinski, was being kept alive with the help of a life support system and that he may make a decision today to disconnect it.

"If the doctors tell me they have done everything they can to save her, and there's nothing more they can do, we'll authorize the cancellation of the life supporting mechanisms," said Pucinski.

Pucinski has been at his wife's side since Friday afternoon when she went into a coma after falling down four steps at DiLeo's Restaurant, 5700 N. Central.
