Article: Burger King will try its hand at selling Domino's pizza

Watch out, Pizza Hut and McDonald's. Domino's pizza will be tested in a handful of Burger King restaurants in what could lead to nationwide cooperation, the firms announced Tuesday.

The one-year test, between Domino's new Pizzazz unit and British-owned Burger King, is a counterattack against fast-food competitors.

Pizza Hut already has over-the-counter sales in 200 facilities in malls and similar locations. And McDonald's Corp. is test-marketing its own pizza at 200 restaurants in four markets, including at least two locations in Chicago.

"This doesn't surprise us," said a spokesman for Oak Brook-based McDonald's. "Brand X has been playing follow-the-leader for 30 years now."
