For some people, a cake recipe starts with a box; for others,
it begins with eggs, flour and sugar. We have a recipe for either
style of cake baker in this week's Swap Shop.
Creme de menthe cake couldn't be easier: It's cake mix,
chocolate syrup, whipped topping and creme de menthe. The result is
a mint-chocolate chunk of cake.
Lady Baltimore cake, by contrast, is for serious cake bakers.
This classic white cake with its dried fruit filling isn't difficult
to make, but it is time-consuming.
