For many Bears players, having females in their locker room is
about as tolerable as having opponents in their end zone.
The team policy is to open the locker room to all accredited
reporters after games. During the week only males are allowed in
the locker room in most cases, but the public relations staff
accommodates female reporters by bringing players to them.
Bears public relations director Bryan Harlan estimates there are
between six and 10 females in the Bears locker room after each home
game. Of those, about four are reporters. The remainder are
television camerawomen or technicians.
There have been no ugly incidents in the Bears postgame locker
