CINCINNATI - If this is daytime, it must be Wrigley Field.

Barry Bonds didn't see Paul O'Neill's fifth-inning fly until it came out of the sun, and by then it was too late.

O'Neill had a run-scoring double and the Reds had a 2-1 lead they never lost Friday on the pitching of Tom Browning, Rob Dibble and Randy Myers.

They evened the National League Championship Series at a game each with two days off before resuming at Pittsburgh on Monday.

"It was like Chicago at 3 o'clock," Bonds said. "As soon as it left the bat, I lost it. It got into the sun and never came out. I flipped my glasses (down), but that didn't help, so I just ran to the wall."
