Because brownies require so few ingredients, and so few steps,
they offer instant gratification. (Although the brownie experts
recommend waiting 24 hours, they concede that no one follows their
advice.)
Unfortunately, there's no margin for error as there might be in
a more complex recipe. Brownie recipes should be followed exactly,
according to Joan Steuer.
"The biggest thing about brownies is watching the baking time.

"It's also critical to measure precisely. There's not too much
