EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. The usual dose of Eric Dickerson and a
touch of trickery worked wonders Sunday for the Indianapolis Colts.
The Colts won their fourth consecutive matchup with the New
York Jets, 29-21 behind the running and receiving of Dickerson and a
fake punt. The Jets (4-10) have dropped five consecutive games.
Dickerson rushed for 117 yards, his fourth 100-yard effort in
nine games against New York, and scored twice on one-yard runs in the
third quarter.
"One hundred yards is OK," he said, "but it's no big deal to me.
I've done it so much. I haven't even had an Eric Dickerson day this
year."
