WINTER PARK, Colo. Your family or friends are going skiing, but you
don't ski - and what's more, don't intend to. Still, you don't have
to stay away from the ski resorts. There's more than enough to keep
a non-skier happily busy every minute with both indoor and outdoor
fun.
As a non-skier, I recently had a splendid time at Winter Park.
The fun began even before we got there - by taking the ski train from
Denver. The Denver and Rio Grande has been operating weekend runs to
Winter Park since 1940.
The train leaves Denver's Union Station at 7:15 a.m. - and takes
pride in leaving on time. We flew into Denver the day before and
made use of the special overnight package at the downtown Hyatt ...
