Of all the food-related issues that generate anxiety, weight loss
probably ranks first.
Nutritional psychologist Marc David is disturbed by the stream of
weight-loss diets and approaches that are merely new ripples on an
old theme. "They're still being gobbled up and they're still not
working," said David, citing estimates that 98 percent of the people
who lose weight gain it back within a year.
Losing weight successfully requires "getting to the heart of the
