One of the great challenges in this busy life is devising tasty,
interesting dinners without spending a fortune on the ingredients or
all evening planning and preparing them.
My wife and I both work full time, and neither of us has much
time for fancy culinary footwork when we come crashing in the door
with hungry kids in tow at 5:30 or 6 p.m. But we do love good food,
freshly prepared, and hate to give it up for some microwave mystery
meal.
This is one reason we've come to treasure cooking with olive oil
and garlic in a big iron skillet. It makes almost anything seem
special, even hamburgers. And it's fast.
