Last winter, Cheryl Jendry requested a recipe for easy pierogi to
serve as a special treat when her brother-in-law returns home from
military service in the Middle East. Many readers wrote in, wanting
to share their recipes as part of Jendry's homecoming festivities, so
we decided to print several versions of this dish.
There are as many pierogi recipes as there are people who love
to eat the delicious Polish stuffed dumplings.
Here is my recipe for pierogi that is both easy and delicious.
I taught my then 11-year-old grandson to make them. Last Christmas
Eve, he made 250 of them. I hope Cheryl Jendry's brother-in-law
enjoys them as much as we do.
