Article: Karen Blixen museum opens in Denmark

RUNGSTED, Denmark The birthplace of Karen Blixen - better known as Isak Dinesen, author of Out of Africa and other works - has opened as a museum.

Queen Margrethe II officially opened the museum May 14 in Rungsted, an old fishing harbor that has turned into a fashionable residential area 12 miles north of Copenhagen.

Rungstedlund, the two-wing, white-brick house where Blixen was born in 1885, had been closed to the public since she died there in 1962 at the age of 77.
