When you're 34 and you tell someone you're a Doris Day fan, they
aren't quite sure what to say. So they hesitate, waiting for you to
crack a smile.
To a lot of people, Doris Day is nothing more than a
sanctimonious blond who wears her chastity belt too tight and who
built a career around one stupid song. And they would probably say
that any well-adjusted man under the age of 40 who doesn't still live
