When she wasn't performing her cabaret act in New York City,
Rainie Cole, star of "Always, Patsy Cline," now at the Halsted
Theatre Centre, was a singing waitress/bartender at the Don't Tell
Mama piano bar.
"There's something about me as a singer, when I would sing a
ballad at the piano bar, when I'd finish, people would go, `Patsy
Cline! Patsy Cline!' They wanted to hear a Patsy Cline song," Cole
says. "I said there must be something about me that reminds people
of her.
"I know what it is from what I've read (about her). They talk
about Patsy having a real connection with lyrics and a sincerity and
