The $425,000 LPGA/Chicago Sun-Times Shoot-Out continued to have
an unlikely, ever-changing leaderboard Saturday.
Kris Monaghan surfaced as the 54-hole leader on her 31st birthday,
with Tina Barrett and Donna White her closest pursuers. The trio has
combined for five tournament victories in 13 LPGA seasons.
For the third consecutive day the Oak Brook course record gained
new names. Monaghan and Sherri Steinhauer claimed it with
7-under-par 65s.
And, for the third consecutive day, the LPGA's top stars didn't
offer much of a challenge. Colleen Walker, No. 10 on the season
money list, became the first member of the seven top-10 players in
the starting field to crack the leaderboard. She ...
