Article: Radio Hall of Fame teams with partner

Chicago's Museum of Broadcast Communications is merging its new national Radio Hall of Fame with a similar shrine established by Emerson Radio Corp.

Although it has inducted members every year since its founding in 1988, the Emerson Radio Hall of Fame has existed on paper only. By incorporating itself with the Chicago museum, the Emerson shrine will have a permanent place to honor the industry's legends.

"We are very pleased to accept this generous offer to provide a home for radio's greats - past, present and future," museum founder and president Bruce DuMont said. "What Cooperstown is to baseball and Nashville is to country music, Chicago is to radio - a hall of fame city."
