Article: New Dire Straits offers too much of a good thing

It's been six years since the last Dire Straits tour and seven since the British group released its last LP. So it was with great anticipation that fans filed into the Rosemont Horizon Tuesday night for the British band's concert. What the audience saw was the return of a musically superior group, but a group that nonetheless still is best enjoyed in one's living room.

After a brief laser light show, curtains drew back to reveal the four-man band, which was augmented by a five-piece backup group.
