PLATTEVILLE, Wis. His words say being one of the Bears' starting
defensive tackles is not the goal. His actions say Chris Zorich
would use his head to crumble concrete if it would put him in the
starting lineup.
Believe the actions.
In two-a-days, Zorich is trying harder than anyone to impress
the coaches who put him in William Perry's starting position. He
moves more and with greater ferocity than any other lineman.
"You won't find anybody whose motor runs any better," defensive
coordinator Vince Tobin said. "That's one reason he's as good as he
is."
Some of Zorich's enthusiasm has boiled over into aggression. He
