Carol Moseley Braun has changed her thoughts about political debates.

In the Democratic primary, Braun was all for them. Her winning performance in a televised debate with Sen. Alan J. Dixon and political newcomer Al Hofeld was a decisive factor in her upset victory.

Following her nomination, Braun said she looked forward to debates with Republican Richard S. Williamson. Braun promised five debates.

But times have changed. And, so, it turned out, has Braun.
