FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. I'm just back from Fort Lauderdale, where I petted an alligator called Spike at Ocean World, chatted with a blue jay perched on my shoulder at Flamingo Gardens, and strolled through a fluttering cloud of yellow butterflies at Butterfly World. I kept so busy during my stay, and had so much fun, that I think I need a rest. It's that kind of place.
