A new generation of Bears is standing in the locker room, loose
and full of laughter, ignoring a suspicious legacy its predecessors
have left behind.
Craig Heyward chides an offensive lineman about his inability to
dance to the rap music that fills the room. Chris Zorich studies
intently, alone with his playbook.
For the new guys, the showdown tonight against the Minnesota
Vikings on national television (8 p.m., Ch. 7) is a big game
against a big rival, a big opportunity to jump into contention for
the NFC Central title. Nothing more.
