AT&T SIGNS CHINA DEAL
BEIJING - AT&T has signed a contract to sell 160,000 telephone
exchanges to the northeastern city of Changchun, the official Xinhua
News Agency said Monday. An AT&T spokesman would not disclose the
value of the contract.
GERMAN OUTLOOK BLEAK
BONN - Western Germany's economy could dip again and joblessness
will hit a new postwar record, the government's economic advisers
said Monday in an unprecedentedly gloomy forecast for 1994.
