With its Wednesday premiere, "Babylon 5" joins television's
growing science-fiction roster of weekly first-run series. The
others include:
"Star Trek: The Next Generation," 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday,
10:30 p.m. Sunday, Channel 50. The sci-fi leader in quality and
popularity is cruising through its seventh and final season. Then
Capt. Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of the Starship Enterprise will
boldly go to the big screen for a new generation of "Trek" movies.
"Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," 6 and 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Channel 9.
Imaginative drama and cutting social commentary continue to thrive
during the second season aboard the 24th century space station at the
edge of the galaxy.
