Article: Conservatives and Zealots Can't Coexist

Thomas F. Roeser's Feb. 14 column ("Rein in the Big Media
Companies") calling for more regulation of the television industry
proves once again that true conservatives cannot in the future
peacefully coexist with zealots from the religious right. Roeser,
being such a zealot, is as much of activist as anyone on the left
and, while it is certainly his prerogative to be so, it is patently
dishonest for him to call himself a conservative in the true sense of
the word. It would be more accurate if, from now on, Roeser was
forthright and referred to himself as what he is - a Roman Catholic
activist.
Also, Roeser says that the banning of an "offensive" episode of
the "Roseanne" show was achieved ...
