Article: Hardworking Parents Are Worthy of Note

A A letter from Rose Auslander appeared last week in the far bottom corner of the big, gray New York Times editorial page.

It was a little blurb, just 2 1/2 inches long, and it seemed insignificant next to the big important letters from such influential citizens as the U.S. secretary of defense.

Rose Auslander, in fact, was the only letter-writer that day whose name did not appear over a title. Under her name, it just said: "Brooklyn."
