Q. I read with interest your response regarding the need to train
future board members. Our condominium board consists of
well-qualified and trained directors. The problem is keeping them.
Is there an antidote for burnout?
A. Burnout and boredom can be a problem among condominium board
members. Among the danger signals to watch for are frequently
rescheduled or delayed board meetings because there is no quorum;
board members routinely missing meetings; negative attitude among
board members, a lack of attendance at social functions and unlisted
phone numbers.
Here are some antidotes to board burnout:
