One highlight of the slightly wheezy 11th annual Chicago Blues
Festival is the Black Top Records Blues Train that will trace the
evolution of the blues on Amtrak's refurbished City of New Orleans
Superliner.
Featuring Black Top Record artists Earl King, former Bobby
"Blue" Bland sideman Clarence Hollimon and vocalist Carol Fran,
guitarist Robert Ward and Mark Kazanoff and his Kamikaze Horns, the
train leaves New Orleans Wednesday afternoon, with stops in Jackson,
Miss., and Memphis, Tenn., before ending in Chicago. The revue will
co-headline the final night of the festival June 5.
Besides performing stripped-down sets in the Superliner lounge
