Yabba-dabba-dough!
The yuppie puppy of the mid-'90s costs major bucks and has one
mighty long lifeline: He, or, more precisely, his early relatives,
roamed planet Earth during the reign of T-Rex and company.
We're not talking Jack Russell terriers here. (They're as passe
as the pot-bellied pig in some households.) We're talking hedgehogs,
the little flat-footed, prickly critters with an attitude, but not
much IQ.
They don't do tricks, they don't heel, they don't always come
when you call them, but they certainly are cute little guys to have
around the den, says Pat Storer, the hedgehog honcho who wrote the
