NEW YORK If they say it often enough, New York Rangers fans might
actually start to believe it: There's no such thing as a hex.

"The jinx? I don't think it exists for the players," said Ed
Alburque, who arrived at Madison Square Garden on Thursday to watch
his team take their first Stanley Cup since the New Deal was a new
deal.
Sorry, Ed. And sorry all you other long-suffering - uh, still
suffering - Rangers fans. The Broadway Blueshirts, poised one
victory from their first Cup since 1940, were stunned by the underdog
Vancouver Canucks 6-3 Thursday night, their second home loss of the
finals.
They still lead the best-of-seven ...
