News that the two best high school basketball players in the
nation and the best high school athlete in Illinois are transferring
to other schools for their senior years raises serious questions
about ethics and priorities.
Is winning championships what high school sports is all about?
Is it time for state high school associations to re-evaluate their
eligibility rules? Is the purpose of a high school education to
learn a jump shot or read and write?
